V. Fuerst nee Rybak
Mrs. Fuerst
was formerly the Director of the American Medical Association's
United States Adopted Names (USAN) Program and served as secretary
to the USAN Council, which involved negotiations between the USAN
Council, pharmaceutical manufacturers, and foreign nomenclature
agencies. She also served as the AMA's senior staff scientist in
the area of Drug Nomenclature. Mrs. Fuerst has 20 years of national
and international nomenclature and drug safety experience.
